FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions)
What
exactly is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural, relaxed state of awareness, much like daydreaming,
in which you do not become unconscious. It is a state of relaxation
where a person becomes "hyper suggestible." In this
state of intense relaxation and concentration the subconscious part
of the mind responds to suggestion and imagery.
Is Hypnosis dangerous?
Hypnosis is a perfectly natural phenomenon. It is quite common for
the average person to drift into a hypnotic state completely on their
own many times throughout the course of a normal day. Hypnosis is
quite safe and can offer many benefits and results through it's simple
application of relaxation and concentration.
Is
the subject actually asleep or in a trance during Hypnosis?
Although Hypnosis appears to be a trancelike state, much of this stigma
comes from misrepresented portrayals in movies, on television, and
from other media sources. Although the term "sleep" may
be utilized during Hypnosis, it is not the same sleep that we enjoy
each night. If it were the same type of sleep the subjects would not
be able to hear and respond to the Hypnotist, which is necessary for
Hypnosis.
Can
anyone be Hypnotized?
Yes, as long as they will allow themselves to be. Hypnosis is a cooperation
between the Hypnotist and the subject. If the subject resists they
are unlikely to become Hypnotized. Not everyone becomes Hypnotized
during our performance, only those who volunteer and choose to allow
themselves to be Hypnotized.
Can
Hypnosis make me able to do anything I wouldn't want to do?
Hypnosis cannot make you do anything that you would not normally be
willing, able, or capable of doing. Hypnosis cannot cause, but it
can expose. You will not do anything that is against your morals or
ethics while under Hypnosis.
What is a Master Hypnotist?
A Master Hypnotist is recognized as a professionally trained and certified
operator who demonstrates a level of skill, knowledge, experience,
and proficiency, and has undergone the required and continuing training
of the professional certifying board.
Is your performance a serious exhibition
of Hypnosis or a comedy show?
It is the best of both worlds! The show is designed to showcase Hypnosis
in an entertaining format, while demonstrating how Hypnosis works.
While we won't assist anyone to quit smoking or overcome a fear of
flying during the show, we will feature the many abilities, possibilities,
and applications that are presently available through Hypnosis.
How long is your performance?
A standard performance is between 60 and 75 minutes. We can customize
a performance to your specific needs with shorter shows of 45 minutes,
to a 90 minute performance or a complete two hour Hypnotic extravaganza!
How does Hypnosis differ from other
forms of entertainment and why should we choose Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is truly unlike most other forms of entertainment as it contains
all of the essential elements to a successful performance - intrigue,
suspense, comedy and laughter, spontaneity, and audience participation.
Audience members are captivated and amazed as they watch their friends,
coworkers, spouses, and family members experience this phenomenon.
You can truly expect the unexpected with Hypnosis. Other reasons Hypnosis
is so successful is that many people have yet to experience a Stage
Hypnosis Show, and since each show and it's subjects are different,
even those who have experienced Hypnosis before will find each show
to be fresh and unique. Unlike other forms of entertainment The Robinn
Lange Stage Hypnosis Show is filled with comedy and continuous laughter
while creating memories that will last long after the show has ended.
All of these qualities combined create a mass-appeal not offered by
most other forms of entertainment.
